Mugshots: A Page From Vancouver’s Past, 1912-1913

Photo: Vancouver Police Museum

Featuring one of Vancouver’s oldest mugshot books, this exhibit takes you beyond the pages and into the lives of those who lived in Vancouver between 1912-1913.

Here you will explore some of the city’s earliest crimes and hear  stories not often told through conventional histories. While diving into the individual narratives, you will also learn how mugshots were used in early criminal investigation and get the opportunity to take your very own selfie mugshot.

Don’t wait too soon to come and visit, this exhibit will only be up for a short time before the mugshot book is returned to the museum’s archives in order to preserve it for future generations.

Exhibition ends July 31, 2021
